Shirlonda H. Shepard M.Ed, LPC, CPCS, CACII

I’m not your typical therapist—I’m real, approachable, and I believe therapy should be anything but stiff or monotonous. With a witty, down-to-earth style, I strive to make therapy a space where you can fully be yourself. Through authentic conversations, I’ll help you discover the path that’s been waiting for you all along.

My practice focuses on couples counseling, adolescents, and adults who feel overwhelmed or stuck, those who sense their life needs a fresh start. Sometimes, we all wish for a “do over or restart ", but it’s hard to know where to find it or how to make it work. In therapy, I help you uncover your own strengths and resilience to break free from what’s holding you back. Together, we’ll explore new perspectives on the toughest challenges and the patterns that seem impossible to escape, so you can reclaim your personal power.

I provide a supportive, affirming environment for all my clients—free from judgment and sensitive to the unique cultural factors shaping each person’s experience.

As the owner and Clinical Director of True North & Associates LLC, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), and Certified Addiction Counselor II (CACII). I’m also a member of the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA), and the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of Georgia (LPCAGA). Part of my practice involves providing clinical supervision to associate counselors, helping them develop professionally.

I believe everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling life, and I’m here to help you achieve yours. Let’s work together to create meaningful change. If you’re willing to put in the work, you’ll find your True North.
I’m ready to invest in you—are you ready to invest in yourself?
